Robert Bell, DVM - Practice Owner and Founder
Dr. Bell is avid outdoorsmen and when not at the Animal Hospital Of Waterford, he enjoys time with family (wife-Jennifer and 2 sons – Clay and Chase), hunting, and fishing. He currently has 2 pets that run the household: “Mudge” a spayed female Jack Russel Terrier and “Simba” a neutered male orange 4 year-old cat.
When founding this practice, Dr. Bell wanted to open a veterinary hospital where we could practice state of the art medical care in a small-town, friendly environment. He values being able to provide compassionate care to both the pet and their owners.
Dr. Bell completed his veterinary education at the Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and takes particular interest in small animal orthopedic surgery and medicine, equine endurance and bovine medicine.
Sheila Imbur, DVM – Practice Owner
Dr. Imbur plays a large part in our companion animal practice, with her veterinary interests consisting of small animal medicine and surgery as well as equine medicine and reproduction. She has a large interest in animal behavior too. She received her veterinary degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia in 1996. She has been with the Animal Hospital of Waterford since August of 2000 and bought into the practice to become a partner in 2007. One thing that Dr. Imbur really enjoys about our clinic is the family-like atmosphere that we have!
Dr. Imbur takes pleasure in kayaking, fly-fishing, and hiking, with her time away from the practice. Quilting is also something she finds much relaxation in after a stressful day. Coming from a sizable family, she also enjoys the occasional company of her parents, sisters and many nieces and nephews. Her cats, “Mouse” and "Liam" rule the roost, at her house!
Kevin Wellejus, VMD - Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Wellejus spends his free time in the winter months snowmobiling and downhill skiing with family Jill, and 2 daughters Casey and Claire. The family pets at home include “Clinton” a male Brittany Spainiel, “Abby” a Short-haired cat, "Mose" a male Vizsla and an Arab Gelding named "Shellimar".
He completed his veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and has been with the Animal Hospital of Waterford ever since as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Wellejus tends to be most involved in the large animal aspect of our practice here and most enjoys food animal production work.
