Robert Bell, DVM - Practice Owner and Founder
Dr. Bell is avid outdoorsman so when he's not at the Animal Hospital of Waterford, he enjoys time with his family (wife, Jennifer and 2 sons, Clay & Chase), hunting, and fishing. They have two pets that run the household: Mudge, a Jack Russel Terrier and Shadow, a black cat. When founding this practice, Dr. Bell wanted to open a veterinary hospital where we could practice state of the art medical care in a small-town, friendly environment. He values being able to provide compassionate care to both the pet and their owners. Dr. Bell completed his veterinary education at Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and takes particular interest in small animal orthopedic surgery, equine endurance, bovine medicine and large dairy herd problem-solving.
Ginger Hobgood, DVM - Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Hobgood graduated from North Carolina State University and has years of hands-on experience working with both small and large animals. Prior to college she worked in a small animal clinic, then began working at an equine hospital through college and worked at North Carolina State's and Washington State's university dairies while in her undergraduate program. She also has experience showing heifers throughout her time at college. Here in Waterford, she looks forward to having the opportunity to serve people through caring for their animals.
Dr. Hobgood grew up in North Carolina and has three older siblings who happen to be triplets! She is interested in photography and plays six different instruments. Her household includes a Border Collie named Olive, a kitten named Kia, and a Bearded Dragon named Willoughby!
